Each December the Caddo Parish School Board members have an opportunity to evaluate the performance of our superintendent, Dr. T. Lamar Goree. What criteria do board members use, and where do they get the evaluation questions?

Despite the fact that Shreveport’s recycling options ended on Oct. 31, there are other options for local environmentally conscious residents.

The Shreveport City Council meeting Tuesday held up a mirror to our city, and what we saw wasn’t pretty. The gun deaths (71 so far) and injuries on our streets in this awful year 2020 bled right into the council chamber. The pain of some of the citizens who had survived the Wild Weststyle shootouts in their neighborhoods was wrenching to watch.

It was an adventure and a memorable one at that.
