Shreveport’s New State Building Downtown: What Will it Look Like?
There has been some exciting news for downtown Shreveport recently with the announcement of the state building moving from Jordan Street and Fairfield Avenue to the old Joe D. Waggoner building in downtown Shreveport. Newman Marchive Inc. has been retained for building demolition and asbestos abatement. They will also be in charge of removing the building's facade as well as all interior components, including concrete, piping and mechanical systems. Work is expected to begin as early as this summer, with this part of the project taking up to 200-300 days.
