The Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is calling on artists to design gateway signage along the Boom or Bust Byway in northwest Louisiana.

You are a Shreveport native—tell us about your family growing up here, where you attended public school, and what neighborhood you grew up in: I come from a loving Christian family and grew up in the Highland Park neighborhood. I attended public schools in Caddo Parish, including Green Oaks High School, where I received a great education. I am grateful for the teachers I had in Caddo parish schools. They prepared me for a successful future.

For my second year going to Southern University at Shreveport Foundation's 22nd annual Gentlemen's Cooking Classic, things were turned up a notch with everything from food options to attendance.
