On August 18, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers with the Shreveport Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Labriesha Patterson (09/15/1996) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by the Shreveport Fire Department, Patterson was pronounced deceased a short time later.

On August 23, 2025, at approximately 5:07 p.m., Shreveport Police responded to a crash at Tate Street and Broadway Avenue involving a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist was transported to Ochsner Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced deceased.

Shreveport, LA – The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has made significant progress in the investigation of a tragic shooting that occurred on June 29, 2025, at the Lifestyle Apartments. The incident claimed the life of 24-year-old Zauntravious Davis and left two others injured, including a two-year-old child.

On August 18, 2025, Shreveport Police officers arrested 44-year-old Clarence Dock after responding to an armed person complaint in the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue.

This past week, Shreveport Police officers were once again called to confront one of the most difficult challenges facing our community — domestic violence. In just a matter of days, multiple arrests were made, several involving repeat offenders.



On August 18, 2025, Shreveport Police officers responded to a theft in progress at Dick’s Sporting Goods located at 7543 Youree Drive. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple individuals had fled the store after stealing merchandise.


We know you have heard this before, but unfortunately, good people in our community keep falling victim to these scams. Scammers are clever, persistent, and constantly finding new ways to trick folks into giving away personal information, bank details, or money.




The Shreveport Police Department’s Vice Unit continues its efforts to combat crime in the Monkhouse Drive corridor. On August 15, 2024, Vice officers made multiple arrests related to prostitution and associated offenses.
