The Caddo Parish Commission, in partnership with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, will host a drive thru food box distribution event at multiple locations across Caddo Parish on Saturday, November 22, starting at 9am and 10:30am. “We know that many families in our community are struggling right now, especially with challenges accessing SNAP benefits, the impact of federal furloughs, and the rising costs of food,” said Caddo Parish Commission Stormy Gage-Watts. “Providing distribution opportunities, such as the Commission’s event, is a way to offer some immediate relief and ensure that no one in our parish has to face food insecurity alone,” said Gage-Watts. The distribution event is possible through an allocation by the Caddo Parish Commission and partnership with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana for food acquisition and distribution.
