Almost All NW LA Sales Taxes Rise

All but one of the 6 major NW LA sales taxing jurisdictions showed a rise for their sales tax receipts for July. The only one to fall compared to July 2025 was Bossier City-Parish. By far the largest deposit was the City of Shreveport. It has a 2.75% sales and use tax rate using a calendar fiscal year. Its July tally of $14,486,436 was 2.8% above $14,086,580 a year ago. Its year-to-date total in 7 months is 1.5% up from the amount last year, $98,531,567 relative to $97,176,926.
