On July 27, 2025, just after 9:00 p.m., Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to the area of Wilkinson Street and Centenary Boulevard in reference to a report of a man pointing a weapon at two individuals.
The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in connection with a recent burglary at the St. Jude Dream Home. The arrest has brought closure to the case, and returned the stolen property to its rightful owner.

Sex Crimes detectives with the Shreveport Police Department have arrested 25-year-old Derek Thomas on one count of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile following an investigation into an incident that occurred in March of 2025.
On July 3, 2025, the Shreveport Police Department launched an investigation into a reported sexual assault involving a juvenile victim.
On July 16, 2025, Bossier Parish Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Hadrekus Bailey. During the stop, Deputies discovered stolen property inside Bailey's vehicle. He was immediately detained as BSO Detectives launched a follow-up investigation. Further inquiries revealed that Bailey was connected to a string of burglaries committed in the days leading up to the stop. Detectives recovered stolen items taken from five separate residences, including property stolen from a garage, a shed, a vehicle, and items taken from the front porch of a Bossier Sheriff's Office employee.
The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT), in collaboration with multiple law enforcement partners, has arrested two individuals and seized multiple firearms and narcotics following a coordinated investigation and search warrant execution.
