Grayson Boucher is finishing up two consecutive terms as the District D Shreveport City councilman. He will be termed out and cannot seek reelection.

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation (SPAR) reported a strong turnout for its pre-Thanksgiving turkey distribution event, where more than 300 families received holiday meals thanks to support from community partners. According to SPAR, the initiative was made possible through a partnership with Healthy Blue, whose contributions helped ensure local families would have access to a Thanksgiving meal. SPAR’s recreation team prepared, organized, and distributed each turkey, working throughout the event to assist residents. SPAR officials expressed gratitude for the volunteers, staff members, and community partners who helped make the distribution possible. The organization noted that efforts like this reflect its ongoing mission to support a stronger and healthier Shreveport, especially during the holiday season.

According to CPSO, 23-year-old Arndra Stephens, who resigned in September, enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 2024 while still employed as a deputy. Under department policy, he was permitted to remain on the payroll during basic and advanced training, with CPSO providing differential pay to cover the gap between his military and deputy salaries.

A months-long investigation involving the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has led to the arrest of a Haughton man accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material.
