Shreveport’s 10-month year-to-date sales tax receipts are $104,897,747.42. A year ago, the same 10-month total was $104,418,155.64. The latest sum is $479, 591.78 above last year.
Nothing much changed here in Shreveport this week. We had an election, but nothing changed. We still have serious problems affecting Shreveport and our solvency. Shreveport has proven repeatedly that elections do not change things here. The change that we need will have to come from within us.
