Mrs. Sarah Collier of Benton, Louisiana, and Mr. W. Clinton “Bubba” Rasberry Jr. of Shreveport, have joined the Centenary College Board of Trustees. Collier and Rasberry were welcomed at the Board of Trustees annual meeting held Thursday, October 22, and will each serve a four-year term.
DALLAS -- Bowl Season last week announced the complete 2020-21 college football bowl schedule, which includes 37 games, beginning December 19. All games will be televised on ESPN channels, with the exception of two bowls to be seen on CBS channels.

While the City of Shreveport is working to secure a new recycler, the Public Works Solid Waste Department will collect the recyclable materials as trash. Residents are asked to place all waste in the green trash bins until a new contract is in place. This will help Solid Waste be more effcient in collecting the trash.

SHREVEPORT, La. – Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport continues to invest in its St. Mary Medical Center by opening an OB/GYN Specialists clinic. The new clinic, located at One St. Mary Place in Shreveport, La., is nearly 20,000 square feet and has 26 exam rooms, two treatment rooms and two ultrasound rooms.

Shreve Memorial Library is encouraging patrons to participate in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) this November. NaNoWriMo was created in 1999 as a daunting, yet straightforward challenge to write a 50,000-word novel in only 30 days. Each November, thousands of writers and would-be writers take up the NaNoWriMo challenge and try to complete a novel by November 30.
