BATON ROUGE, LA – Flanked by United States Attorney Brandon Fremin and law enforcement offcials, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today announced arrests related to fraudulent COVID-19 unemployment claims and warned others illegally depriving the dwindling Unemployment Trust Fund.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said citizens can dispose of unwanted prescription drugs this Saturday, October 24, at Sheriff’s Safety Town.
Shreveporter Tobias Williams, 31, arrested on three counts of second-degree murder in connection with slayings that occurred on October 6, 2020, in the 1500 block of Garden Street in Shreveport, is currently incarcerated with bonds set at $750,000 per count, for a total bond of $2.25 million. The charges will be considered by a future Caddo Parish Grand Jury.
A Shreveport woman accused of a late-2018 stabbing death followed by burning the body, pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court Tuesday, October 20, 2020, to manslaughter.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit have arrested a man believed to be responsible for committing multiple business burglaries in the Cedar Grove neighborhood.
Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department Juvenile Crimes Unit obtained additional arrest warrants for 52-year-old Stacey Glenn Wilhite of Bossier City for two counts of molestation of a juvenile. These most recent arrest warrants were filed for two criminal incidents involving one juvenile victim. During the investigation, detectives found evidence that Wilhite had sexual contact with the victim who was under the age of 10 at the time the crimes occurred.
A Texas man was arrested last week on a theft charge and fleeing in a stolen vehicle. On Friday, Oct. 16, a Bossier City police offcer was working part-time at Dillard’s when he was contacted by surveillance in reference to a theft.
Three people were arrested last week on multiple counts of monetary instrument abuse.
