Officials from the local Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) briefed the Shreveport City Council on a big and needed project upcoming repairs to Interstate 20 throughout Shreveport and Bossier City.


After talking to the National Weather Service, we have decided to cancel the Wednesday, April 3, Artwalk. We have discovered that rain, outside art displays and sidewalk strolling don’t work well together. The Downtown Shreveport Artwalk will be BACK on Wednesday, May 3.
Nonprofit professionals from across the state will descend upon LSU Shreveport’s campus for the Statewide Conference For Louisiana’s Nonprofits in September. The Sept. 20 conference, which will offer professional development for nonprofit operators, is co-hosted by LSUS’s Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research and the Louisiana Alliance for Nonprofits.

An application was submitted to the Caddo Planning and Zoning Commission at its last meeting to rezone two acres fronting Mansfield Road to use the site for a data center.

Children of all ages are invited to join Shreve Memorial Library on a journey through time. Visit Shreve Memorial Library branches Monday, April 10, through Thursday, April 13, and be a part of the Dinosaur Experience, an interactive adventure featuring Nash the dinosaur, Ranger Martin and an assortment of dinosaur friends. Programs will take place at various Shreve Memorial Library locations throughout Caddo Parish. All programs are free and open to the public.

Dr. Woodrow Wilson Jr. is retiring as administrator and CEO of the Parish of Caddo after 17 years in the role and 22 total years of service to Caddo Parish.
