Residents of Webster Parish voted a new school board member in and voted 'Yes' on a parish-wide millage proposition.

Residents of De Soto Parish voted on a sales tax preposition as well as a millage proposition Saturday.

Voters in Keithville and Shreveport headed to the polls Saturday to decide on millage renewals for Caddo Fire District Six and a new city marshal, respectively. No candidate secured the required 51% of the vote, so Grayson Scott Boucher and James Jefferson will head to a run-off election.

The American Rose Center will host an Easter event for families on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m.

The Bossier Council on Aging’s Meals On Wheels program serves seniors across Bossier Parish with a nutritionally balanced hot meal Mondays through Thursdays each and every week. A frozen meal is provided each week on Fridays. The Meals On Wheels program is available for any senior who is 60 years of age or older, resides in Bossier Parish and is homebound. The meals served consist of a protein, vegetables, bread, fruit (or dessert) and milk. The meals are delivered in hot boxes. And, the milk is in coolers to assure that it is kept at the proper temperature.

Last week, the Shreveport-Bossier region hosted Navy Week, the U.S. Navy’s signature outreach program.
