A Shreveport man accused of sex crimes against two family members over a span of two decades faces life in prison following his conviction in Caddo District Court Wednesday, March 22.

A Shreveport man accused of sex crimes against two family members over a span of two decades faces life in prison following his conviction in Caddo District Court Wednesday, March 22.

Two people were arrested this month for fraudulent activity at Louisiana Downs and Margaritaville casinos.

On Sunday, March 19 around 3:25 a.m. Shreveport police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a white Kia Forte for traffic offenses in the 4200 block of Greenwood Lane. The vehicle refused to stop and eventually crashed.

On March 21 around 4:45 p.m. the Shreveport Police Street Level Interdiction Unit conducted a search warrant in the 1700 block of Clanton Street in reference to narcotics complaints in the area.

Police have arrested a suspect wanted in a 2022 attack at a local casino On June 18, 2022, Shreveport olice officers were called to the 6900 block of West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop on reports of a man being physically attacked at Lucky Jacks Casino. During the investigation, detectives obtained security footage of the possible suspect.

On March 16 around 8:45 a.m. Shreveport Police Department patrol officers were contacted about a report of a domestic incident at the Cajun Inn, located in the 2600 block of Claiborne Avenue. The caller told dispatchers that there was domestic abuse at this location with two children ages 10 and 8 present.

On March 18 around 9:45 a.m. Shreveport police patrol officers responded to a suspicious person’s call in the 600 block of Topeka Street in reference to a man near a reportedly abandoned home.

A Shreveport police officer involved in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex earlier this month has resigned.

Police arrested a convicted felon last week after he was found to be in possession of a firearm.

A Shreveport Police Department K-9 officer is credited to thwarting the theft of catalytic converters at a local business.
