A Shreveport man was arrested following a foot chase that led officers to recover a loaded firearm and multiple types of suspected illegal drugs, according to police.

The Shreveport Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a residential burglary that occurred at 4917 Westwood Park Drive. On March 23, 2026, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, officers were notified of a burglary at the residence. The victim reported that an unknown suspect forced entry into the home by breaking a bedroom window and stole a coin jar.

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, officers with the Shreveport Police Department responded to a reported disturbance in the Melanie Street area. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a male suspect had damaged a residence by breaking multiple windows. Officers quickly took the individual into custody and determined he was extremely intoxicated at the time of the incident.



Shreveport police have made several arrests in recent days in connection with domestic violence incidents across the city.
