A Shreveport man accused of breaking into a home in early 2023 and assaulting an occupant pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court last week to home invasion.

The Shreveport Police Department have made an arrest in the weekend shooting death of a toddler.

Shreveport police recently made a significant arrest in connection with a second-degree battery case. Derek Jackson, 43, was apprehended by the Shreveport Police Department for his alleged involvement in an incident that occurred on July 25, 2023, in the 4300 block of Lakeshore Drive.

On Feb. 10, just after midnight, Shreveport Police officers responded to a call regarding an armed individual in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered 28year-old Marcell Lewis, who was found in possession of a firearm.

On Feb. 11, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to a report of an armed individual in the 6100 block of Tierra Drive. Upon arrival, officers encountered 30-year-old Marquise Lyod, who was reportedly engaged in a dispute with a family member.

On Feb. 13, at approximately 6:20 p.m. proactive patrol officers with Shreveport Police observed a suspicious individual sitting in a vehicle in the 2900 block of Victor Street. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the individual, identified as 21-year-old Robert Webb, was in possession of a firearm.
