Caddo DA’s office requests Shreveport murder suspect’s DNA for unsolved cases

An argument led to a woman being reportedly attacked by her boyfriend and then shot by her boyfriend’s father.

On October 21, 2023, the Shreveport Police Department responded to a call reporting a domestic incident in the 100 block of East Egan Street. Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from a significant laceration to the arm. The victim was transported to a local area hospital and treated for the injury.

In the early hours of Feb. 18, proactive patrol officers of the Shreveport Police Department conducted a routine traffic stop at the intersection of Greenwood Road and Jewella Avenue. What began as a standard procedure evolved into a significant arrest as officers uncovered crucial details.

The Bossier Financial Crimes Taskforce is seeking the public's help in identifying this suspect. On Jan. 25 a white male subject entered a Motel 6 in Bossier City and attempted to get change using a fraudulent bill. The clerk checked the bill and discovered that it was counterfeit. The man asked that the clerk return the bill, and the clerk declined. The suspect was able to get away before police could arrive.

The Shreveport Police Department has made an arrest following an investigation of the shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Feb. 19 in the 1600 block of Oakdale Street.

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 37-year-old Dustin Mc-Gee in connection with a sexual assault reported on Jan. 5.
