Today, Gov. John Bel Edwards announced that he has signed the following bills into law from the 2021 Legislative Session.
Bossier police chief has $14K judgment placed against him
Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams has been sued and a judgment slapped against him.
Cassidy secures $1.6 million investment in Bossier City to build economic development resource center
U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.6 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Coordinating and Development Corporation, Bossier City, Louisiana, to construct the Northwest Louisiana one-stop resource center, allowing for business development and growth. The bipartisan Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law in March 2020. This EDA grant will be matched with $400,000 in local funds.
LSU vs LA Tech men’s basketball game – relaunch
BOSSIER CITY, LA – The men’s college basketball match-up between LSU and Louisiana Tech, originally scheduled at Brookshire Grocery Arena on Nov. 24, 2020, is now rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 18.
NLFA inaugural championship
Bossier City’s Bombers will meet the LA Tigers Saturday, June 19, in the inaugural championship game of the North Louisiana Football Alliance, an adult football league.
