Join the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Bossier Arts Council for monthly GloFests debuting new light shows on the "Bakowski Bridge of Lights" on the Texas Street Bridge. July's GloFest will span across the river in both the Bossier Louisiana Boardwalk and the Shreveport Riverview Plaza. The July event will feature The Molly Ringwalds, arts markets on both sides of the river, a kids' area, food truck court, street performances by Spinner Entertainment and more!
Third- through eighth-grade students can attend Department of Defense-sponsored STEM summer camps at the Louisiana Tech Academic Success Center during the month of July.

The human body is a remarkable machine, a phenomenal product of nature, and as such, humans are able to perform amazing feats of endurance, from athletes to firefighters.
In April, Hol-Mac company advised the city of Shreveport that it would not honor its contract to deliver 18 badly needed trash compactor trucks without additional moneys amounting to almost $300,000. The city council wisely refused to increase the requested increase in costs for the trucks. Informed sources report that Hol-Mac has decided to deliver the trucks rather than be sued. Three new garbage trucks were recently delivered to the city. Reportedly, Hol-Mac will deliver the remaining contracted 15 trucks in groups of three in the following weeks.

The Hookah District was a restaurant and bar on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway, located in the old Mr. Gatti's Pizza building.
