July's GloFest will span across the river in both the Bossier Louisiana Boardwalk and the Shreveport Riverview Plaza. In April, Hol-Mac company advised the city of Shreveport that it would not honor its contract to deliver 18 badly needed trash compactor trucks without additional moneys amounting to almost $300,000. The city council wisely refused to increase the requested increase in costs for the trucks. Informed sources report that Hol-Mac has decided to deliver the trucks rather than be sued. Three new garbage trucks were recently delivered to the city. Reportedly, Hol-Mac will deliver the remaining contracted 15 trucks in groups of three in the following weeks.
