Second round of NBA Playoffs set
As we discussed previously, I know the NBA isn’t moving the needle in terms of viewership, but at least the first round of the playoffs was entertaining. There have been a few surprises, some players who have stepped up their game and a handful of marquee teams sent packing. Most notably, of the teams sent off to an early off season, are the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. A few years back, if you asked me which team I wanted to win I would have answered, “Whichever team LeBron is on.” He was, by far, my favorite player in the NBA, the league was taken by storm whenever he arrived, and he never looked back. Fast forward to present day. and that answer has turned into the exact opposite. I now root for him to lose, I root for him to face adversity and relish in the fact that he can’t get out of his own way long enough to push through said strife.
