The Louisiana Rouxgaroux

The Louisiana Rouxgaroux are officially stepping into a bold new era of arena football—an era defined by renewed purpose, stronger leadership, and a deeper connection to the people of Louisiana. After a challenging season on the field, the former Shreveport Rouxgaroux have re-vamped, re-energized, and moved forward under a new identity and ownership group committed to elevating the franchise to new heights. On August 2, 2025, the National Arena League (NAL) granted full franchise membership to family owners Keith Carter and Kim Carter, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter as the organization proudly reintroduces itself as the Louisiana Rouxgaroux for the 2026 season.

The top vote getter from each league receives an automatic starting spot on the team. Oklahoma City Thunder are your NBA Champs!

The Thunder rolled to their second NBA championship in their franchise’s history and first since moving from Seattle to Oklahoma City in 2008. Their 68 regular-season wins is tied for the fifth most in NBA history. The team is loaded, and their led by dynamic superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. For the year, Shai will have won the regular-season scoring title, MVP, Finals MVP, the first person to achieve that feet in over 25 years.

Yep, let’s start this week off with a bang and talk WNBA! Love it or hate it, the WNBA is relevant. There are sellout crowds weekly across the league as the likes of Caitlin Clark, A’Ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Kelsey Plum, Paige Bueckers and a slew of other talented ballers are taking to the court and making the game somewhat watchable. But…there’s always a but. Earlier this week we saw the tip off of the season marred by an incident between Clark and Reese in their highly anticipated matchup. For the game, Caitlin Clark recorded her third triple double of her career going 20-10-10 for the game on the way to an easy victory for her Fever over the Reese led Chicago Sky 93-58.
