The decision to tear down Fairgrounds Stadium is one that should be revisited because it shows a lack of vision and forward thinking. “Guns don’t kill people, Americans kill people.” – Michael Moore, director of “Bowling for Columbine” (2002) A shooting Tuesday on Southern Avenue and E. 61st Street, just a couple of blocks from I-49, left one man critically injured. These signs appear to be in certain neighborhoods and are popping up constantly. For this reason, a public records request will be forthcoming or forthgoing to the city of Shreveport in regards to the process and the price for such endeavors.
