Couple sentenced for conspiracy to distribute meth
MONROE, La. - United States Attorney David C. Joseph announced that Robert Perkins, 58, of Hall Summit, Louisiana, and Deborah Hawthorne, 60, of Monroe, La., were sentenced by U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter, to serve 13 years and 11 years in federal prison, respectively, for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing methamphetamine.

Monroe man sentenced for child pornography
A Monroe man was sentenced Wednesday by U.S. District Judge Terry A. Doughty to 20 years in federal prison and 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography. Christopher Joe Stamper, 28, is also required to register as a sex offender.
