Cowboys and Saints get back in win column

Cowboys and Saints get back in win column

What a difference a week makes huh? A week after looking like second tier team versus the woebegone Green Bay Packers, the Dallas Cowboys looked like legitimate Super Bowl contenders versus the then 8-1 Minnesota Vikings. They were beating the Vikings so bad late that CBS switched the game over to the Bengals vs. Steelers game...ouch. The switch was warranted though, as the Cowboys took the early momentum and never looked back. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings offence was uncomfortable from the get go, thanks in large part to the ferocious play of Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons. Pair that with another big game by running back Tony Pollard and the returning Ezekiel Elliot and you have a recipe for a blowout. This is the type of game Cowboys fans have been expecting all year and it’s a notice to all those teams in the NFC. Next up for the Cowboys is their annual Thanksgiving Day game at 3:30 on FOX, this year they’ll take on their NFC East rival (7-3) New York Giants in a huge game with all the playoff implications one could want.

LSU cruises past UAB ahead of showdown with Texas A&M

It says a lot about a team whenever they are able to do what they’re suppose to do. LSU was suppose to beat UAB, a week after securing their spot in the SEC Championship on December 3rd versus Georgia. Some teams will look past an opponent, thinking about bigger games down the line. They could have been focused on their matchup with Texas A&M, they could have been focused on their game versus Georgia. But not this team, now with Coach Brian Kelly at the helm. When asked about his teams performance against UAB Coach Kelly had this to say, “I'm so proud of our mental toughness and (the players') ability to do it the right way against a team they're supposed to beat.”
