On Sunday night when the Cowboys took to the AT&T Stadium field, they had already locked up the division, leaving some to speculate that maybe they would kick it back a gear and coast through the game versus the Washington Football Team. Those people were wrong! All the Cowboys did on Sunday Night Football was throttle the hapless WFT 56-14 and stake their claim as one of, if not the, top team in the NFC with two weeks remaining in the season.

For some, the name Madden rings a bell because of the video game franchise that has been super-successful for over two decades. For others, they remember his work as a color analyst for all four of the major networks and his trademark “BOOM!” But before he took over the booth and long before he set the tone for football video games, Madden is remembered as one of the most successful head coaches in NFL history. John Madden was a trailblazer.

Faculty and students from the LSUS Computer Science Department recently shared a special “Hour of Code” with students at Eden Gardens Magnet Elementary School. As part of Computer Science Education Week, the department offered a fun, handson coding activity with approximately 90 fifth-grade students.
