Renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon G.E. Ghali, DDS, MD, FACS, FRCS (Ed) is the 2022 recipient of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India’s Lifetime Achievement Award (AOMSI) The award was presented Nov. 17 at the AOMSI 46th annual national conference in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, at which Dr. Ghali also was keynote speaker.

Mayor Tommy Chandler, Shreveport and Bossier city officials, friends of tourism and event organizers gathered at a press conference emceed by Santa at the Sci-Port in Shreveport, Louisiana to announce a new holiday initiative for the area, “Holidays on the Red.”

I know, I know, the season just ended. But, for any true baseball fan, free agency season is something to follow closely as well. This is the time of year whenever you pick your wounds from the season before and dream of whom your team could add in the off-season to help put them over the top. For me, as a Yankees fan, off-season is always filled with a ton of speculation. This year will be no different from years past. The biggest question mark this year will be can the Yankees resign MVP Aaron Judge?
It wasn’t pretty for local Saints and Cowboys fans over the weekend, as both teams fell to their respective opponents. The Saints made the hapless Steelers look good while they looked lifeless most of the game. The Steelers brought a dominant defense that welcomed back the return of superstar T.J. Watt. Their defense forced two big second-half turnovers, while Kenny Pickett and the Steelers' offense did enough to earn Pittsburgh's third win of the season and the rookie quarterback's second victory in the NFL.

The Parish of Caddo will host a state highway dedication event for former Caddo Commissioner and longtime community leader Carl A. Pierson, Sr. The event will take Sunday, November 20 at 1:30pm, at the intersection of Highway 173 (Ford Street) and Earnest B. Miller streets.
TEXARKANA, Texas—The Men’s soccer team collected their first conference tournament title Saturday evening as they took on the Wildcats of Louisiana Christian. The Pilots put three goals in the net on their way to a 3-1 victory. With the win the Pilots earn an automatic qualifier bid to the NAIA National Tournament as well as being the 2022 RRAC Men’s Soccer 2022 Conference Tournament Champions. The Pilots move to 14-3-3 overall while the Louisiana Christian Wildcats end their season 11-3-6.
