On August 28, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to a suspicious person/ prowler call at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Southfield Road. The caller reported that someone was inside his apartment.

The Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has arrested a suspect in connection with the August 3, 2025 homicide in the 1000 block of Dalzell Street.



Team executed a search warrant on Shady Lane in connection with narcotics activity. During the operation, officers took Corey Prest and Christopher Wendling into custody.


Shreveport Police have arrested two individuals following a vehicle pursuit through the West Shreveport area.

On July 14, 2025, citizens in the 1800 block of Fulton Street contacted Shreveport Police Investigators regarding individuals walking the streets with firearms and discharging them in public. Investigators quickly identified 1826 Fulton Street as a possible source of the activity and began research and surveillance on the location.

Kyle Patrick is now in custody, thanks to the efforts of the Caddo Sheriff’s Patrol C-Team, drone unit, and the Narcotics Division. They were assisted by the Shreveport Police Department’s Patrol, Drone, and K-9 units, as well as the Desoto Sheriff’s K-9 unit. Kyle was apprehended on West Bert Kouns, east of Kingston Road.

On July 27, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., Shreveport Police Department patrol officers responded to a shooting at 1727 N. Market Street, near Superior Smoke Shop.

On August 6, 2025, an incident occurred in a store in the 200 block of West 84th Street involving an alleged invasion of privacy. Following an investigation, Shreveport Police Department Sex Crimes Detectives have arrested John Swayzer (DOB: 11/21/1998).

On August 20, 2025, the Shreveport Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit made an arrest in connection with the fatal hit-andrun crash that occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
