In the early morning hours of January 7, 2026, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to an alarm call at First Methodist Church after a caller reported observing a subject inside the building.

On January 12, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., members of the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) responded to multiple complaints of individuals reportedly in possession of firearms at the Stone Vista Apartments, located at 541 E. Stoner Avenue.
