The giant Downtown Plant Swap is returning on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Last year was the first, and it was a big, fun day, filled with plants and seeds and swag! Hundreds turned out to swap, purchase and share gardening stories. Downtown Development called it the Snowmageddon Plant Swap since we had just been clobbered by an ice and snow event that decimated area plants and gardens. Boy, were people ready for this swap!

Visitors to Lake Plain Dealing Park have something new that will add to their recreational experience at the facility, which is part of Louisiana’s National Scenic Boom or Bust Byway.

The Parish of Caddo continues to have strong representation in leadership with the Police Jury Association of Louisiana. Commissioner Stormy Gage-Watts was recently elected as the 2022 president of the Louisiana Police Jury Black Caucus Association. She previously served as president for 2019-2020.

Bob Brotherton has again given Bossier Parish representation at a top administrative level in the state after his installation as president of the Police Jury Association of Louisiana during ceremonies at the 98th PJAL convention in Lake Charles.

Auditions for "Little Shop of Horrors" will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m. for adults at the Shreveport Little Theatre. The audition will start with a mandatory dance call for adults auditioning at 11 a.m. on March 26. Those auditioning should enter through the front door of Shreveport Little Theatre. A member of the production team will be present to assist individuals signing-in.
