Shreveport Woman Charged with Aiming Laser Pointer at Aircraft Pleads Guilty in Federal Court!

United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced the entry of a guilty plea today by April Nicole Poitras, 45, of Shreveport, Louisiana. Poitras appeared before United States District Judge S. Maurice Hicks, Jr. and entered her guilty plea to two counts of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft.

An arrest has been made following the reported bomb threat against St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shreveport, La. on June 23. This arrest is made possible by a collaborative effort amongst Shreveport Fire Investigations Officer Charles Menefee, along with Shreveport Police Department Agent Gilmore, Louisiana State Police Agent Cahn, the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office, Mt. Shasta California Police Department, and the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
