On Monday evening, just after 7:00 p.m., Shreveport Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after observing a vehicle speeding through the area.

December 31, 2024 – Irving Place At approximately 3:25 PM, officers responded to a report of assault and battery in the 1700 block of Irving Place. During the investigation, it was determined that James Youngblood assaulted a female victim at the location. Witnesses reported that the victim was outside a business smoking a cigarette when Youngblood approached her, took the cigarette from her hand, and struck her with a shovel.
