Bossier City Charter Commission and Assistant City Attorney Richard Ray are gaslighting the citizens of Bossier City. Ray repeats in every possible venue that the charter commission did great work with recommended changes to the 20-year-old charter. He also advocates that the proposed changes are needed. Ray is correct that the Louisiana Bond Commission voted to allow the commission’s three propositions to be placed on the ballot on March 29, but citizens need to beware of the snake in the garden…thissssss isssss good sayssss Ray.

Of the twenty-five items on your wish list for the City of Shreveport in 2025, this reader noticed that there was no mention of the 9000 opportunities known as adjudicated properties. The good intentions of State Representative Roy Burell in 2015 to get HB 769 passed was only the start of a comprehensive plan to redevelop areas of the city that has been overlooked according to the vision outlined in the 2030 Master Plan and for the most part, not included in the few bond proposals that have been successful since 2015.

The Walk of Stars began as a committee of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce in 1997. It was created to recognize and honor people from this area who have made it big in their chosen profession and, by so-doing, have helped attract national and even international attraction to this area. But it's more than just a recognition and honor. It's also a physical attraction located in the Red River Entertainment District under the Bakowski Bridge of Lights in downtown Shreveport.

HUGE matchup in the Independence Bowl!

The 2024 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl will feature the Marshall Thundering Herd and the No. 22 Army West Point Black Knights, marking the first matchup of conference champions in the bowl since its inception in 1976. Marshall is led by Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year Mike Green, who broke the Sun Belt Conference record with 17.0 sacks on the season. The Herd also has one of the Group of Five's longest active bowl streaks, advancing to a bowl game for the eighth consecutive year.
