Highest-paid Shreveport police officers

The recent approval of a 13% pay raise for Shreveport city workers by the Shreveport City Council has boosted the pay of local police officers.

According to the mayor's office, funding for the pay increase will come from American Rescue Plan funds and increased sales tax revenues.

Council members John Nickelson and Grayson Boucher voted against the pay increase for all city workers, expressing concerns about long-term sustainability.
