Final arrest made in connection with murder attempt on police officers

On Friday February 21, 2020, just before 3:15 p.m., Shreveport Police Investigators were attempting to execute a search warrant at a residence in the 3700 block of Sumner Street. While arriving, subjects in a 2011 Dodge Charger drove up to the location and began shooting at officers. The vehicle, which was occupied by at least three black males, fled and evaded capture. The car was last seen headed north on Carrie Street.

The black Dodge Charger was taken during an armed robbery back on February 13, 2020. The vehicle has stock silver rims and had a handicapped placard hanging on the rear view mirror. At last sight, it had no rear bumper or license plate.

Detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit launched an investigation and were able to procure a warrant for 21-year-old DeAndrew Mosley charging him with two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. No bond was set.

On February 22, 2020, just before 6:30 p.m., Mosley was taken into custody at a home in the 1500 block of Summers Street. He was taken to the Shreveport Police Complex for questioning and then booked into the Shreveport City Jail. We would like to thank our partners at the US Marshals Office, Bossier City Police Department, and Shreveport Fire Department for their assistance in apprehending Mosely.

Investigators also procured warrants charging 25-year-old Anthony Perot of the 3700 block of Sumner Street with 5 counts of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, one count of Possession of a Firearm with CDS, and Attempted First Degree Murder in connection with the incident. Perot was taken into custody in Harris County Texas by US Marshals on Wednesday February 26, 2020. He is awaiting extradition back to Caddo Parish.
