Recently, the Caddo Juvenile Court has come under scrutiny by the State Supreme Court. A woman was exiting I-20 at Lakeshore Drive when she suddenly heard gunshots. On Feb 11 at 2 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department responded to a shooting near the exit of I-20 on Lakeshore Drive. When officers arrived, they discovered that a woman was exiting I-20 onto Lakeshore when she heard gunfire. The woman was struck once in the back by a bullet.

Minden police Sgt. Reece Tewell has been honored with a Life Saving Award for jumping into action after a deputy was hit by a vehicle.
