Detectives from the Shreveport Police Sex Crime Unit have arrested a suspect wanted for obstruction of justice in connection with an investigation into a report of pornography involving a juvenile.

In October 2023, Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives initiated an investigation into a reported sexual assault of a juvenile. Following extensive efforts, detectives successfully obtained an arrest warrant for 42-year-old Jamie Davis in connection with the alleged molestation.

A missing person case in Bossier Parish had a happy ending Friday morning. Bossier deputies began looking for a 79-year-old woman Thursday night after she was reported missing by a family member. The woman suffers from dementia and was last seen the day before.

A Caddo Parish jury convicted a Bossier Parish man Wednesday of assault and possessing a weapon while being a felon. Also on Wednesday, another convicted felon was sentenced to prison.

A Shreveport man who led police on a high-speed chase through Shreveport in late 2022 was found guilty in Caddo District Court of aggravated flight from officers Tuesday, Jan. 23.

A Bossier Parish man was convicted Wednesday, Jan. 24, of assault and possessing a dangerous weapon while being a felon convicted of domestic abuse.

United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced that Juhntrayvious J. White, 20, of Shreveport, was sentenced today for illegally possessing a machine gun. United States District Judge Donald E. Walter sentenced White to 60 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release.

The Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned five true bills in its session that ended Wednesday, Jan. 24. Two charged area men with homicides in October 2023, and three charged men with sexual assaults and related crimes.
