Sorry for the CAPS LOCK there but baseball fans I assure you echo my jubilation in the news that MLB Umpire Angel Hernandez is hanging up his blues.

LSU (40-21) landed the No. 2 seed in the Chapel Hill Regional at No. 4 overall national seed North Carolina (43-13). The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee unveiled the full bracket Monday, May 27 during its Selection Show.

For those of you who weren’t present when we discussed what “NIL” means, you’re welcome. Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) allows college and high school athletes (in only 30 states currently for high school) to profit from their name, image and likeness being used.

Effective June 1, 2024, Shreve Memorial Library will expand library card types offered to improve parental choice and limit minors’ access to materials that could be considered sexually explicit, in accordance with Louisiana Act No. 436. The new law requires that each library in the State of Louisiana have a library card system that allows a parent or guardian to decide whether their minor child may check out digital content and/or sexually explicit material physically available in the library.

1. Where did you grow up and what school?

The City of Shreveport will repair three Water Towers in the next few years. The repair provides an opportunity to redesign the exterior design on the Water Towers. Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux invited all Artists connected to Shreveport to submit proposal concepts for each of the three different Water Towers. The selected proposal will then be professionally designed and painted (by an outside firm) on the Water Tower. The design must be one that can be painted on the WATER TOWER(S) – there is no other medium for the design. (No use of vinyl, lights, sculptural additions, etc.)
