Sheriff Whitehorn creates new 'Law Enforcement Explorer' Program for the youth!

Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn has stated his intentions to establish programs to help youth become engaged in meaningful activities as a proactive crime prevention measure. One of these is an Explorer Program. Whitehorn participated in the St. Louis Explorer program, and this was instrumental in his decision to enter into law enforcement as a career.

Week 1 is always a mixed bag of emotions for football fans, regardless of the level of fandom, week 1 is a fresh start. Unlike our beloved LSU, the Saints and Cowboys looked like something fresh out our dreams during the offseason. For the Saints, the offense and defense played strong games. Derek Carr delivered in new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiaks new system. On the other side of the ball, poor Bryce Young (former No. 1 overall pick) had no answers for the Saints defense as the Who Dats rolled to a 47-10 trouncing of the hapless Panthers.

Mind has been run amuck of late, what with football returning, baseball matchups heating up and the weather slowly starting to creep into spooky season. Some of those thoughts are bound to spill onto the pages of FOCUS SB. Last week, I posed a few topics to the audience. How many years, after three, will LSU give Brian Kelly? I think the answer could be three if Kelly misses on the expanded playoff system. Some will point to the recruiting and say give him time while others say he’s had enough time. I guess time will tell. Geaux Could Shohei Ohtani go 50/50?! As mind blowing as that possibility may seem, it’s definitely possible. As of this writing, Ohtani has 46 home runs and 47 stolen bases with 17 games remaining. Truly astonishing.
