YPI names Top 40 Young Professionals under 40

With 98 percent of the city of Ruston without power after Hurricane Laura's assault on Louisiana, Willis-Knighton Health System responded to a request for assistance from Willis-Knighton Cardiology's Ruston clinic.

Tuesday, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport donated 23,000 surgical masks to area non-profits. The largest recipient was Caddo Parish Schools receiving 21 ,000 masks. Other recipients were HOPE Connections, the Salvation Army, Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, and Providence House, who each received 500 masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Caddo Council on Aging (CCOA) Meals on Wheels program provides five nutritious, well-balanced meals to over 1,100 homebound senior citizens.

On July 28, Shreveport police patrol officers were dispatched to the Home Depot in the 6900 block of Pines Road on reports of a theft.
