Caddo parish and Shreveport city officials met today to make final preparations before a much-anticipated winter storm rolls in.
All Shreve Memorial Library branches will be closed on Monday, February 15, due to anticipated inclement weather.

The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (SFM) is reminding all residents to practice safe home heating as our state prepares for some of the coldest temperatures predicted this winter.

In what was billed as a battle between the greatest quarterback of all time versus the next great at the position turned out to be a master series in how to lead a team of men to victory. The aforementioned “GOAT,” Tom Brady, playing in his tenth Super Bowl, once again led his team to victory in what seemed to be just another game for Brady. In winning his seventh Super Bowl title, Brady cemented himself as the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. That has long been a topic of endless debate. Joe Montana still received some love from those who watched his lead the 49ers to four Super Bowl victories, three Super Bowl MVPs and two NFL MVP awards. Johnny Unitas for a long time held the title, winning one Super Bowl and three NFL Championships and three MVPs. Other QBs have been mentioned as well, like Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, but that debate has been officially put to rest.
The night before the Super Bowl, the NFL held their annual NFL Honors award ceremony to hand out the awards for the year. This year, the award winners were as follows:
