Nurses, Bossier City paramedic save young boy from drowni

On June 30 at 7:08 p.m., the Bossier City Fire Department was dispatched to a reported drowning that occurred at a Sunday school party at a residence on Laurel Oaks. Seven-year-old Easton was found in the pool, unconscious. But before the ambulance arrived, two nurses and a Bossier City Fire Department paramedic were already acting to save the little boy’s life. The three medical professionals were attending the party.

This past Tuesday, the midsummer classic took place for the first time in 23 years at Coors Field in Denver, Colo. Heading into the weekend, all of the buzz was surrounding around Los Angeles Angels phenom Shohei Ohtani. As for the game itself, it was won by the American League 5-2 (with Ohtani getting the win), extending the AL’s winning streak to eight years over the National League. The MVP of the game was Vladimir Guerrero, who hit a mammoth 468-foot home run, 15 years after his father, Vladimir Guerrero Sr., did the same off of Brad Penny in the 2006 All-Star game. Guerrero would be named the MVP. If it weren’t for the season being had by the aforementioned Ohtani, Vlad Jr. would be the frontrunner for AL MVP. He is leading the league in two of the three Triple Crown categories, bested only by Shohei in homers.
