We are thrilled to announce that Shreveport Green has been selected as one of 100 Lowe's Hometowns grant recipients. Out of thousands of applications, our MLK Community Garden was chosen by this highly competitve grant to enhance the community garden into a multipurpose green space for the community.

A splash of color can do much more than brighten a bleak, dull environment. Colorful art can also deliver a positive message of unity, togetherness and welcome.

The Shreveport Unified Development Code (UDC) was implemented in May of 2017. The purpose of the UDC was to update, consolidate and reformat the former, and extremely outdated, subdivision and zoning regulations. The development of the UDC was one of the priority initiatives of the 2030 Great Expectations Master Plan. And, as such, it was as acknowledged that upon adoption that additional corrections and policy amendments to these regulations would be forthcoming to ensure that the Code promotes sound, stable and desirable development.
