Shreve Memorial Library is celebrating Youth Art Month and inviting children and teens to explore the visual arts at the library. Shreve Memorial Library branches throughout Caddo Parish will host a variety of programs to encourage creativity, self-expression and appreciation for the visual arts. Programs include painting and mixed media workshops, tiny art shows and competitions, and hands-on crafts. All programs are free and open to the public. Supplies and materials are provided for all programs.

Elizabeth ‘Ellie” Hining is a member of the Junior Olympic Archery Development program (JOAD) at Hoot & Holler Archery in Bossier City, LA. She has several Pros that she looks up to including Paige Pearce and Jesse Broadwater whom she got to meet in Vegas this year at the Indoor Nationals. On Jan. 21, Ellie, shot at LA Downs in the LA Field Archery Assoc (LFAA) State Indoor Vegas Tournament setting a new state record in the Young Adult Female (1517) Freestyle Category. Additionally, On Feb. 19, Ellie won the Texas Field Archery 2023 Southern Indoor Sectional for Young Adult Female (15-17) beating out seven other entrants from Texas to bring the title home to Louisiana.
