Josh Donaldson or Tim Anderson ... pick a side

A controversy has both sides feathers ruffled of an always hot topic debate in Major League Baseball. This past week, New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson got into it with a few Chicago White Sox players in Tim Anderson and Yasmani Grandal. Once the dust settled, the reasoning for the dust up was brought to light. According to Anderson, Donaldson twice referred to him as “Jackie” during the game. The reasoning behind the nickname according to Donaldson stemmed from a 2019 interview with Sports Illustrated in which Anderson compared himself to a modern-day Jackie Robinson. In the interview he said “I feel like I need to bring more energy, excitement and fun to baseball. The comparison by Anderson stops there, as he has done little, in my opinion, to bring much positivity to the game over the course of the three years since the comment.
