1. Tell us about your family when growing up and where you lived: I was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, and am the oldest of four children. I was born to a young mother and wife – just 16 years old at the time – who had to step into adulthood earlier than expected. She was also the eldest child of eight, so I spent much of my childhood surrounded by my aunts and uncles, many of whom felt more like siblings to me. My grandmother played a central role in raising us – not only her own children, but also my siblings and several other children in the community.

Auditions for the upcoming production of The 39 Steps will be held on Saturday, July 5. The production will be directed by Dr. Ray Scott Crawford. Actors interested in auditioning should prepare a comic monologue and be ready to read from the script. Revenue report: Casinos bounce back in Shreveport-Bossier during May!

Casinos in Shreveport-Bossier had a bounce-back month according to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board’s May revenue report. Data provided by Louisiana State Police shows that Shreveport-Bossier’s six casinos earned $52.12 million in revenue for the month. That’s up 22.5% from the $42.56 million the market earned in April. Margaritaville Resort and Casino continues to be Shreveport-Bossier’s revenue leader, reporting a profit of $13.72 million for the month.
