At its Nov. 14 meetings, the Shreveport City council agreed on noise limits for bars and restaurants citywide of 75 decibels until 1 a.m. and 70 decibels until 7 a.m. The new ordinance reduces how loud a bar or restaurant can be from what the council passed in October, which set at 85 decibels until 2 a.m. and 80 decibels until 7 a.m. Mayor Tom Arceneaux vetoed the ordinance calling it too loud, saying he believed 70 decibels should be the maximum noise limit.
