Stahl and Stinson face off March 26 for Bossier District Judge seat

Two candidates will face off in the March 26 election in the race for District Judge 26th Judicial District Court, Division D.

Allie Aiello Stahl of Bossier City and Doug Stinson of Benton, both Republicans, are the only two candidates who have qualified to run for the seat.

The opening on the bench came with the resignation of Judge Charles Jacobs. Jacobs stepped down to be Bossier Mayor Tommy Chandler's city attorney when he took office on July 1.

Both candidates are assistant district attorneys in the Bossier-Webster DA’s office for the 26th Judicial District.

Assistant District Attorney Allie Aiello Stahl is a prosecutor who handles felony and misdemeanor criminal cases in both Bossier and Webster parishes.

Stinson has tried numerous felony jury trials and countless misdemeanor trials. He also is the town attorney for Benton

He also is the town attorney for Benton and also serves as in-house counsel at the

DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office.

As a historical note, voters in Bossier and Webster parishes have never elected a female judge.
