CPSO seeks info in stolen dog case

Caddo sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying two people who may have information about the theft of a Siberian Husky puppy.

The dog named Rocky was taken from Wal-mart on Mansfield Road on Thursday around 8 p.m. His owner, a long-haul truck driver from Florida, had stopped at the store for medication and tied the dog to a pole near the south entrance while he went inside. 

Deputies said the couple who was shopping at the store may have information about the dog’s disappearance that could help locate him. The couple is described as a white female with long brown hair and slender build and a white male with brown hair and slender build. He was wearing a white baseball cap with an emblem on front, jeans, and dark tennis shoes. They were driving a gold Nissan Altima four-door vehicle, 2005-2009 model.

Rocky is six-months old and is the traveling companion of his owner on his long-haul deliveries. If you have information on Rocky’s whereabouts please contact Sgt. John Hay at 453-5741 or Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
