The Bossier Phillies’ run in the American Legion World Series ended just short of a berth in the semifinals Sunday in Shelby, N.C. Bossier, the Louisiana state champion and Mid-South Regional champion, finished an outstanding summer 24 -6-1. The World Series appearance was their first ever.

The DJ Envy x 50 Cent Drive Your Dreams Car Show has been posted on the Humor and Harmony Ticketmaster page. The Caddo Sheriff’s Office hosted its annual Youth Firearms Safety Education Camp on July 10, welcoming boys and girls from the local area. The camp took place at the Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy, where campers were paired with certified deputies for activities on the firing range, focusing on firearms handling and instruction.

Margaritaville again had the highest May gaming revenues in Shreveport Bossier with adjusted gross revenue (AGR) of $17.3 million. Horseshoe as a distance second with $10.4 million AGR. Bally's Shreveport had $9.2 million AGR followed by Boomtown with $4.5 million AGR. Sam's Town has the lowest AGR with $3.7 million.
