Louisiana State Exhibit Museum to Present Louisiana Mud Mavens Ceramic Art

Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin invites the public to the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum to view an exhibition of Louisiana Mud Mavens Ceramic Art from Dec. 11 through Dec. 29. The exhibition of glazed pottery and sculptures will open with an artists’ reception on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 2-4p.m. The staff and Friends of the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum invite the public to meet the artists and view the exhibit in the West Wing Gallery.

United Way Opens Project Submissions for Day of Caring 2023

United Way of Northwest Louisiana (UWNWLA) is now accepting project submissions from local nonprofit agencies for its largest, community-wide volunteer event of the year, Day of Caring. Day of Caring is tentatively scheduled for April 28, 2023, with more than 600 volunteers from local businesses in attendance who are committed to making a difference in the communities in which they live and work.

Known nowadays simply as Coach Prime, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders has shaken the college football world to its core. Before he could lead his Jackson State onto the field for their championship game last weekend, Sanders had informed his team that the rumors swirling around him were true: He was leaving Jackson State at season’s end and accepting the job to coach at Colorado.

BPCC Theatre Wins Top Honors at Texas State Theatre Festival

The Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program’s production of the comedy, 'Sylvia,' was honored Nov. 11th with awards at the Texas Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) in Carthage, Texas. The three-day festival of theatre productions from colleges and universities in Texas and Louisiana, hosted by Panola College, ended with an exciting awards presentation in the Q.M. Martin Theatre.
