Detectives with the Shreveport Police Domestic Violence Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating twenty-nineyear-old Rodrick Hicks. Hicks is wanted in connection with a violent domestic incident that occurred on January 26, 2024, in the 1600 block of St. Landry Street.

A Shreveport man who killed a woman in 2021 and left her body at the duck pond in Shreveport pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Monday morning as his trial was to begin in Bossier District Court.

A Shreveport teen is being hailed a hero for saving his cousin from a dog attack. “The dog had jumped on me and in time before I could run,” said Anthony McGee. Anthony McGee, 10, recalled the moment on March 23 when a dog attacked him as he and his cousin Josiah Davis were walking in their neighborhood on Cashmere Circle like they’ve done so many times before. “Oh, we were just going over to my friend’s house, you know, we were just looking at the cars because he’s really into cars. And I am, too,” said Josiah Davis.

A Shreveport man who shot his girlfriend 20 times in 2021 was found guilty in Caddo District Court Thursday.

On March 29, around 11 p.m., officers from the Shreveport Police Department responded to an obscenity call in the 4200 block of Encina Drive. Upon arrival, the officer encountered a naked female causing a disturbance, prompting them to attempt to take her into custody.
