In response to a domestic incident, law enforcement officers arrested 31-year-old Miya June on charges including aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a weapon, and two counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. The incident occurred on May 21 at approximately 9 a.m., at the 3900 block of Caliburn Drive.
In the early hours of May 19, Shreveport Police Patrol officers encountered a suspicious vehicle at Airport Park on Kennedy Drive. Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver fled, prompting a pursuit.

On May 20, around 4 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a report of a disorderly person at 5300 Fairfax Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim involved in a domestic incident.

A Shreveport man charged with vehicular homicide after he caused a multi-vehicle wreck that killed one man and seriously injured several others, including a child, pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court earlier this month.

A former Shreveport Police Department officer was sentenced Thursday for an overtime fraud scheme involving federal funds.













Three men charged with second-degree murder in connection with the killing of a 1-year-old infant in January were among the 13 men indicted by a Caddo Parish grand jury this week.

On May 11, moments before midnight, Shreveport Police Department patrol officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dunlap Street and Hearne Avenue. During the stop, officers identified a firearm in the possession of the driver, 27-year-old Fredreis Vercher.

On May 11, at approximately 8 p.m., officers from the Shreveport Police Department responded to a call of domestic trouble in the 9100 block of Linwood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a female had been involved in a domestic dispute and was suffering from injuries sustained during the incident.
UPDATE: Detectives have arrested 17-year-old Justin Houston in connection to this incident.
